Steve Postell * Renegade Music Group: Home

Hello and welcome to my site. I am thoroughly enjoying my relocation to Los Angeles, where I can run by the ocean in the morning, and wander over to the beautiful "On The Path" studio near the Santa Monica Promenade where I have been working for the past 6 months. There is so much great music going on here; I am performing, writing, teaching, producing & recording everything from books on tape to CD's to Coke Commercials!! I am working on the finishing touches for my Immergent Records solo release, due out this spring. Keep an eye on the site for updates and new music, and have a great day.

Wed, March 26th with Jeff Pevar - March 25, 2008

On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26th, I have the real pleasure of being joined by the magnificent guitarist and my great friend JEFF PEVAR. We have played together for over 20 years, and aside from his work with CS&N, Rickee Lee Jones, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker and many others, he is the only musician who has played on every record I have ever made. Jeff is featured prominently on my new IMMERGENT RECORDS CD, which will be released later this spring. We always have a great time playing, please join us next Wednesday for a beautiful sunset, excellent food and some great music.

Sunset Gig - February 22, 2008

The weekly gig at The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu is turning into a great hang. This week I was joined by my friend Grammy winning producer/keyboard player Peter Wolf, drummer Jack Irons (Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chile Peppers) bassist Dion (George Michael, Elton John), percussionist Rich Martinez, and my friend Suzanne Paris on vocals. Look for future gigs with Chris Cornell guitarist Yogi, and my friend and favorite guitarist Jeff Pevar.

Charlie Haden joins us for the Jeff Bridges project - February 4, 2008

We've gotten carried away, many fun hours in the studio for the "Crazy Heart" sessions. A real treat as the legendary bassist Charlie Haden joined us for some tunes, harkening back to his traditional country roots in Missouri. ( a little intimidating as I have to play dobro after Charlie's recent sessions with Jerry Douglas ) In other news, Chad Smith, drummer from the Red Hot Chile Peppers, sat in at The Sunset Restaurant, my weekly gig in Malibu. Fun was had by all.
